Liposarcoma is a malignant connective tissue tumour that resembles various stages in the differentiation of adipose tissue. Although liposarcoma gives high mortality and morbidity, the disease is not very common, and international collaboration is needed to get the momentum needed for significant progress in the understanding of its biology, identification of novel therapeutic strategies, and preclinical and clinical evaluation of these.

Supported by Donations to the Norwegian Radium Hospital and the Liddy Shriver Foundation, we have established an international consortium for this purpose. We maintain this site to foster international collaboration on liposarcoma research.
